“If I’m a guitar hero,
I never entered the competition—I forgot to
fill in the application.”
—Keith Richards

Davy Jones Band

Dave Robicheau: lead guitar, vocals.  The Boston rock scene has given the world such artists as The Cars, The J. Geils Band, and The Standells. Guitarist-vocalist David Robicheau emerged from that scene, having played everything from punk to pop to Celtic music. He has played around the world and, while he loves all kinds of music, his guitar heroes tend towards great British rockers such as Dave Davies and Brian May.

Dave’s online moniker, The Guitar Sub,” summarizes how he entered Davy’s band in the 90s. (Dave also subbed with The Teen Idols in 1998-99.) Dave’s “brilliant guitar tones” (according to Johnny J. Blair) can be heard on Davy’s latest studio offering, She. When Dave is not on the road with Davy, he’s perpetually laying down demos in his home studio.
